This new event will explore the call of Pope Francis in his encyclical Laudato Sí – Care for our Common Home. Inputs and reflections will also centre on practical ways we can reclaim and make our contribution to the whole community of life.
The day will follow a programme as outlined below

2.00pm Afternoon session & group reflection
3.30pm Shared Act of Worship

GUEST SPEAKERS
Sr Nellie McLaughlin, native of Inishowen, member of the Sisters of Mercy. Works in the areas of Creation Spirituality, Cosmology, Ecology and Sustainable Living. Founding member and director of Green Sod Land Trust, Ireland (2007), author of ‘Out of Wonder, the evolving story of the universe (Veritas 2004) and Life’s Delicate Balance (Veritas 2015).
Dr Jonny Hanson is a Christian environmentalist and entrepreneur who grew up in Monaghan and Malawi. He is the co-founder and managing director of Jubilee, a Christian creation care organisation. He lives in Larne, Co Antrim.
